DIY - Il famoso fai da te - The famous do it yourself

Primo..questi sono letteralmente degli "scarti" di una futura sposina..quello scelto per questione di sopresa per gli invitati non posso farlo vedere.

Secondo..sono prove veloci quindi non sono curati nei particolari..:-P perdonate andavo di fretta

Terzo..oh mamma quanto mi diverte fare queste cose! :-D

Spiego :-D..sono stata sommersa di email per sapere.."sì ok facciamo da noi la bomboniera..ma quanto può costare farla da soli?" ..:-P avete ragione, mi ero completamente dimenticata di mettere un po' di prezzi e quale migliore occasione di fare alcuni esempi per far capire meglio quanto si può risparmiare "facendo da soli"?

ehrmm..ora cercate di essere clementi con me..perchè veramente queste sono solo delle prove fatte con le mie manine (sì sì rispondo subito alla domanda..faccio anche le bomboniere),ma partiamo dalla cosa meno costosa in assoluto..una bella scatolina, un semplice nastrino e un fiore.

Attenzione gli accostamenti di colore erano stati scelti in base al tema cromatico del matrimonio in questione, ma voi potete sbizzarrirvi con qualsiasi colore preferiate e qualsiasi forma e grandezza della scatolina...i prezzi variano di pochissimo.

Vediamo..questa tra confetti, scatolina, nastrino , fiore e tulle dentro per i confetti..ci aggiriamo intorno ai 0,60-0,70 €. :-D insomma dai mi sembra un giusto prezzo per un piccolo e semplice pensierino per gli ospiti no?..ovvio c'è da aggiungere il talloncino con i nomi degli sposi, ma stiamo parlando di pochi centesimi

Poi..passiamo a qualcosa di più costoso..insomma si fa per dire...qui siamo ad una scatolina che è anche più semplice della precedente, ma quello che costa un po' di più è il fiore (più elaborato) e il nastro sia più lungo che più "prezioso". Diciamo che in totale andiamo sui 0.90-1.00 €. Considerate che la scatolina bianca è costata meno di quella arancio e che il fiore rosa è solo una parte di un mazzetto più grande.

E poi abbiamo un sacchettino che si aggira attorno ai 1.50-1.60 € perchè la bustina di organza costa un pochino di più rispetto alla scatolina. Però...dai sono prezzi sempre molto buoni direi.

Sono semplici da preparare, carine (:-P spero) da vedere e amiche del vostro budget..almeno oltre che un gioco prepararle sarà una grande soddisfazione dire.." le ho fatte io!" :-D

First - these are some scraps of one of my btb, the choosen one is kept secret because part of the guests read my blog :-)

Second they are quick proof just to make her realize what she could do with a Diy favor..so they are not perfect in every detail

Last - oh my..how much I enjoy doing these things!

I explain :-D..I was sommersed by lots of emails since the last post of favors because some of you told me.."yes ok a diy favor but..how much can it cost?"..:-P you are right , I completely forgot to put some prices to make you understand how much you can save from the budget..:-P sorry! So now I'll show some Diy favor with the prices to make you realise how really truly affordable they are!

ehrmmm..try to be good to me, these were really some proof and I've done them soooo quickly! but let's begin with the cheaper one.. a cute little box with a normal tiny ribbon and a little flower.

The total cost of this simple favor is including almond bonbon inside, around 0.60-0.70 €. The colours were choosen from the palette of the wedding theme, but you can choose whatever colour you prefer and choose the bigger or smaller box or a differ shap one. The price does not change a lot.

The second one is a little more expencive..but just a little bit, not depending on the box because to tell you the truth this white box is even cheaper than the orange one, but because of the more complicated flower choosen and the more "precious" ribbon used, but we are still talking of a total cost of around 0.90-1.00 €. So anyway a real good price!

And the last one, which is the more expencive one..well "expencive" compared to the other two :-)..the little red sachet is more expencive compared to a paper box, but the price goes from 1.50-1.60 € , yes a little more, but still a good price isn't it?

They are so easy to do and you'll be so satisfy of yourself and so proud to say to all your guests "I have done all the favors by myself!" :-D

Bouquet..particolare - a "strange" bouquet

Appeno l'ho visto non credevo fosse realmente un bouquet..sì sì avete capito bene..un bouquet per la sposa.
Invece :-D è proprio un bouquet richiesto esplicitamente dalla sposa..grande..uhmm..forse sarà pesate no?
:-D però un applauso all'artista bravissima perchè è proprio un capolavoro!

:-D it's really a bouquet commissioned specifically by a bride to this wonderful artist..wow..fantastic..uhmm...maybe a little too easy don't you agree?
But..a huge applause to the artist..very good job! it's a "creation"!

5° Episodio Le bomboniere - 5° Episode - Favors

Ehhh..non mi son dimenticata del piano budget!! che pensavate ? :-D un pochino di pazienza ed eccomi a voi.

Bene bene..oggi parliamo dell'amore/odio per le famigerate bomboniere. Amore perchè tutte le coppie vorrebbero farle (anche se all'inizio dicono " no noooo noi no"..tzèè..poi quando arrivano al dunque dispiace sempre non fare almeno un piccolo ricordo, sicuramente più per il proprio piacere che per far contenti gli ospiti. Odio perchè quando si arriva a decidere..sì ok bomboniere..ma quali? lì..:-P cascano in molti.

Colpa della grande varietà offerta, ma anche del budget e dalla voglia di fare qualcosa di "diverso".

In Italia si inizia ora ad apprezzare qualche regalo diverso dalle solite cornicette di alabastro e dall'oggetino in cristallo. Meno male che adesso vedo molte marmellate, vedo molti cioccolatini, vedo dei bei biscotti e anche delle belle candele. Meno male. Poi c'è chi sceglie di fare una scatolina piena di confetti o cioccolata, o sacchettini di qualsiasi genere.

Poi c'è chi sceglie di non fare niente..o meglio di fare beneficienza e dare solo un attestato a tutti gli ospiti, è molto bello anche se io preferisco consigliare gli sposti di far trovare almeno un confettino con un piccolo fiocchetto comunque sul posto tavola ..però sono scelte personali.

Quanto costa una bomboniera? Beh..non poco..si parte (parlo della mia zona ma più o meno..) da un minimo di 2.50 euro per un sacchettino con confetti, nastrino e fiorellino ad un massimo di...mahh..veramente un massimo non esiste perchè dipende dall'oggetto che scegliete di mettere (tipo un oggetto della Thun costa già di per se' dai 5-6 euro in sù aggiungete il sacchettino...non parliamo di Svarowsky poi o altro del genere), ma ci sono alcuni modio di risparmiare qualcosina :-D

- Cercate di andare nei grandi centri di bomboniere che hanno di sicuro dei prezzi più vantaggiosi rispetto al piccolo negozio, anche solo per i quantitativi che lavorano

- Chiedete se nel negozio hanno degli sconti di fine serie e qualche offerta particolare, cercate di tornare anche più volte nello stesso negozio perchè le offerte possono variare di settimana in settimana

- Lo so..è bellissimo avere la scatolina personalizzata..ma "personalizzare" vuol dire spendere un pochino di più...magari non tanto ma..

- Scegliere il fai da te' è sicuramente un buon modo di risparmiare, non importa quanta manualità avete , ci sono tante soluzione che non richiedono particolari pregi creativi

e poi..cercate cercate e cercate qualsiasi idea..anche all'Ikea trovate tante piccole cose che possono diventare un bel regalino.

Un consiglio ..oggi come oggi io consiglio sempre di pensare ad una bomboniera edibile..cioè qualche cioccolatino, dei bei biscotti, una bella marmellatina particolare o fatta in casa..insomma basta dare spazio alla fantasia.

allora...

le scatoline..sono state accantonate per tanto tempo, ora sono di nuovo di gran moda e a me piacciono molto!

al limite potete fare da soli le etichette personalizzate se avete un pc o farle fare al tipografo per pochi euro

dei bei biscottoni..per risparmiare dovreste essere capaci di farli da soli o avere qualcuno che li fa' in famiglia, altrimenti in pasticceria un po' costicchiano..

un bel cioccolatino in una semplice cartina trasparente..buono :-P

oppure delle belle candeline come queste che sono proprio carine

o la classica tortina nuziale/candela

insomma c'è da divertirsi nella scelta! :-D

5° Episode - Favors

Ehhh..I haven't forgotten of our episodes for the "budget wedding"! :-D just a little time to organize myself and here I am! Well..today we talk about the loved/hated favors. Love because even if a couple tell me at the beginning of the organization "no noooo not for us..what a waiste of money"..:-P at the end they chose anyway to give a little present to their guests, not surely for the pleasure of the guests but primary to their own pleasure. Hate because when the decision is have to be taken..yes a favor but which one?..it's not easy! too many choices, too many ideas and there is the important budget problem as well. And the wish to give something really "different".

In Italy lately there a little change in the kind of object to add to the sachet or the box..no horrible frame anymore..no horrible little crystal usless animal anymore..luckly. Now the couple prefers a good edible favor like chocolate or a good marmalade or a nice cookie, or a nice candle is preffered. Luckly.

Boxes full of almond bonbon or chocolates or little sachets full of bonbon and petals are making the spots nowdays.

Someone chooses to avoid any material favor and decides to donate something to charities giving to guests a little certificate. Well...a really good thing, but I alwasy advise to give even a little almond bonbon in a tiny sachet to the guests...anyway this is a personal choice.

how much is a favor? good question!..it depends on the object you wish to add to the box or sachet or even if you wish to add anything. In a normal favor shop the minimun price (talking of my region) for a normal sachet with a little ribbon some bonbon and a little flower goes from 2.50 euro up to..well there isn't a max it really depends on the object (for a Thun little object you have to add 2.50 to 5-6 euro for the object), but there are some tips to save some money out of the favor budget

-Try to visit big favors retailers , for sure they have a little cheaper price compare to the normal little favor shop

- Ask to the shop assistant if they have some special bargain for end of series or some special offer

- Visit the shop once for several weeks 'cause offers can change from week to week

- I know..it's amazing to have your box personalized but the "personalization" cost a little bit more than a plain box or ribbon or whatever

- choosing the famous DIY is for sure a big way to save budget and you don't have to have particulare artistic skills, there are plenty of favors really nice and really really easy to "build"

and then..look look everywhere for an idea..even at the nearer Ikea store you can find some really good idea and object.

On my opinion for sure the edible favor is for sure the best choice , a good cookie, a good chocolate bar or a unique homemade jam..just free your creativity :-D

Faq's 2009

Buongiorno tesori miei! come state eh? purtroppo nonstante ci provi in tutti i modi possibili , non riesco a seguirvi come vorrei e stessa sorte per questo blog, ho dovuto arrendermi (molto controvoglia) a postare solo un paio di volte a settimana. Da una parte sono contenta perchè il motivo principale è che ho matrimoni da seguire e molti preventivi richiesti, quindi mi sento lusingata e felice, dall'altra fortemente voglio continuare a essere attiva e presente sul blog, perchè ho scoperto che è per me ormai un diario, che voi siete come amici cari a cui raccontare un po' di me e del mio lavoro,
Insomma..abbiate pazienza..prendetemi quando ci sono :-D , e oggi visto le tante domande che ho ricevuto dall'inizio dell'anno approfitto per rispondere qui a quelle che credo possano essere utili a molti.

L'affitto di una location è sempre compreso di Iva?
ehh..ma che bella domanda..attenzione ragazzi ai costi sia degli affitti che dei menù che vi propongono le location e i catering, perchè devono sempre (e dico sempre altrimenti chiedete voi) indicare se sono prezzi + Iva o meno. Cosa vuol dire + Iva? Che la percentuale dell'Iva deve essere aggiunta al prezzo che vi hanno scritto nel preventivo. Per le location sarà il 20% (ma alcune sono esentate dall'Iva in caso sia un privato che affitta) e per i menù trattandosi di cibo il 10%. Mi raccomando state sempre attenti a queste cose perchè su un totale di 100 invitati aggiungere l'Iva o no fa' la sua differenza.

Cosa ne pensi dei corsi organzzati per wedding planner?
In molti mi chiedete di questi corsi . Non so dirvi il livello di professionalità e di qualità dei vari corsi sparsi in Italia, ma avendo visto alcuni dei programmi degli scorsi anni penso che alcuni siano molto completi altri un po' meno. Certo dovete vedere il costo e considerare che dovete alloggiare nella città scelta per qualche giorno. Ma l'aspetto economico lo dovete giudicare da soli..io posso solo dirvi che ho sentito grandi commenti su tanti corsi..altri meno, ma ognuno ha un suo metro di giudizio.

Quanto è "presente" una wedding planner una volta incaricata dell'organizzazione?
uhmm..cara mia! vengo giusto da un'esperienza un po' tragica di una mia "lettrice" (:-D ciao tesoro se mi leggi!) , non sto' qui a raccontare cosa è successo, ma...secondo il mio parere...che magari conta meno di zero però...una wp dovrebbe non dico asfissiarvi dal primo giorno che vi conoscete al giorno del matrimonio, ma neanche passare settimane se non mesi senza un messaggio o una telefonata. Sicuramente ognuna di noi ha un suo metodo di lavoro e si è organizzata in modo diverso quindi agirà di conseguenza, io e posso parlare solo per me, ho dei "paletti" diciamo che faccio un resoconto del lavoro svolto almeno una volta a settimana (in periodo "hot" anche di più) intenficando a mano che ci avviciniamo alla data fatidica fino a sentirsi tutti i giorni (anche più volte ;-) vero Stella? bacio) . Sicuramente quello di cui sono convinta è che una wp soprattutto , al di là dell'organizzazione materiale del matrimonio, ha il compito di sostenere la coppia e rassicurarli..insomma coccolarli. Insomma..per farla breve non esiste un tempo preciso da passare con gli sposi o delle regole stabilite, va bene quello che decidete insieme alla vostra wp, però se vedete che passa un mese senza sentirla iniziate a chiedere voi senza aspettare ;-)

cosa vuol dire DIY che vedo sempre nei siti americani?
vuol dire "do it yourself" cioè "fai da te" ..ormai in Usa come in tutto il mondo spopola il matrimonio DIY dove tutto viene fatto direttamente dagli sposi (e chi li aiuta) dalla partecipazioni alle bomoniere, dal menù al vestito..insomma tutto e devo dire che vedendo tante foto siti americani sono rimasta incantata dalla bravura di queste sposine!

Good morning my beloveds!! how are you today ? Unfortunately , despite my intense wish and my several
tries, I really can't follow you as I want and the same is for this blog , I had to give up and surrender to the fact that I can only update my beloved diary only a couple of times per week and you can't even image how I suffer for this..I miss you all and for me this blog has become important part of my life and a great way to help someone too with little and easy tips (for as much as I know and can). A part of me is really happy of this because the reason is that I have weddings to follow and organize and that several estimates that I have to prepare every week and I'm really truly happy and feel lucky for this..on the other hand I must confess that I deeply miss this place when I'm not here with you.
Well..you have to have patience with me..and take "when" I am here :-D and today after having received hundreds of email of queries since the beginning of the new year, I try now to dissipate some doubts (as far as I'm able to)

the rent of a venue is always Vat included?
ahh..good question!..I don't know how it works for the rest of the world..I know that taxes have to added in Usa, but Vat matters I really don't know, but in Italy we have Iva (Vat) to pay. Ok..answering your question..be careful because the inclusion or not of Vat in the price they have told you has to be clearly written in the estimate they gave you. Usually it's not included so you have to add 20% for vanues (apart those venues rented by private families,in that case vat doesn't exist) and 10% for the caterers. May seem a little, so little difference, but at the end of the day a 10% of difference on 100 guests is really a lot! So be carefull and always check this thing on the estimate and if it's not detailed , ask.

what do you think of wedding planner classes?
lots of you ask me this thing. Actually I'm not able to answer cleary because I don't know the level of professionism and quality of the classes you are asking me. I've seen last years some programs and I have to tell you that there are several really complete classes. Of course you have to control the price of the class and be aware that you have to spend some days in a different city so you have to add also the cost of the accomodation, but I can't judge this thing, everyone of you must decide by himself/herself. I just heard some really great comments ..and some little less enthusiastic ones.

how much is present a wedding planner during the organization period?
uhmm..my dear just lately I've heard of a really bad situation of one of my "readers" (:-D a kiss dear if you read me). I won't tell what happened but...on my opinion..that maybe count less than zero...a wedding planner doesn't have to suffocate you every day since the very first one to the wedding day, but at the same time is not right to make a couple wait for weeks or months to give news on what you are doing. Everyone of us has a different way of organizing a wedding and his/her work method, I can talk only for myself and for matters me , I have some "fixed" dates to follow and usually I send messages or call at least once a week, increasing my contacts while we are approaching the date. At the end I can even have contacts once a day and even more (is that true Stella dear ?:-D a kiss). For sure what I am convinced of is that a wp primary job is to follow emotionally and support a couple before the real and material organization of the wedding. To cuddle them.

well..there isn't a fixed schedule time for the contats with a wp, there are no rules except those you create with her/him and make you feel comfortable.

what does DIY mean?
I don't have to explain this to anglo american persons, but for the rest means "do it yourself". I've found that there some really great DIY ideas on american sites and I truly adore them!

Buon Anno a tutti! :-P dopo un intenso periodo di feste e lavoro (e marito da coccolare) durante il quale ho deciso di staccare un po' la spina dal blog , eccomi qua! :-D riposata (insomma), contenta (sempre) e positiva per il nuovo anno (devo)!
Come va? Tutto bene durante le vacanze? Spero proprio di sì! :-)
Prima di riprendere in mano il "progetto" dei consigli per risparmiare per un matrimonio , o di intraprendere altri argomenti che potrebbero essere utili a qualcuno di voi, lasciate che oggi mi soffermi un attimo su alcune domande che mi vengono fatte praticamente tutti i giorni da persone interessate a fare il lavoro di wedding planner. Io ho sempre creduto che fosse mio dovere rispondere ed aiutare (per quanto possibile) ragazze e ragazzi che mi scrivono per chiedere informazioni o consigli..certo non sono un guru..non ho la bacchetta magica..non sono la Martha..e non ho il potere di farvi capire in due righe se questo mestiere fa per voi o no..ma...

1° -Sono molto stupita quando tante persone mi chiedono "ma è necessario essere presenti al matrimonio?" ..behh a meno che gli sposi non vi chiedano direttamente di non partecipare..certo che fa parte del vostro lavoro. Mi stupisco perchè per me arrivare a quel giorno e poter vedere la realizzazione del mio duro lavoro di mesi (se non più di un anno) è la cosa più gratificante, quello che aspetto con terrore , ansia e gioia...ma come fate a pensare di privarvi di un momento così? Io lavoro per quello..per vedere gli sposi che si divertono e poi magari alla fine si voltano verso di me e sussurano un lieve "grazie" con quella luce negli occhi!
Perchè?

2° Sono molto delusa quando alcune persone mi chiedono "ma si deve per forza lavorare anche il sabato e la domenica?".. ..come? ho capito bene? alcuni pensano di poter far sposare tutti dal lunedì al venerdì perchè altrimenti si rovinano il week end?..vi spiego una cosa..io prego perchè questo anno io debba lavorare ogni singola domenica, ogni singolo sabato perchè vorrà dire che ho fatto qualcosa di buono nel mio lavoro e soprattutto con il periodo in cui ci ritroviamo, credo sarebbe stupido da parte mia rinunciare perchè dovrei lavorare di domenica..chi mi chiede questo, mi dispiace non trovo sia pronto per affrontare questo lavoro.

3° Sono molto commossa quando qualcuno mi chiede "come fai a sembrare così tranquilla e sempre entusiasta?"..forse perchè dopo anni di lotte finalmente faccio qualcosa nella vita che sento veramente mio! e alzarmi tutte le mattine non è più un peso, ma un momento emozionante perchè inizia un nuovo giorno di sfide e di sacrifici per la mia felicità. E' solo questo il segreto..e credetemi..se siete contenti di quello che fate ( e parlo alle future wedding planner) le vostre coppie lo sentiranno e si fideranno ancora di più di voi.

4° Sono molto divertita quando qualcuno mi scrive chiedendomi qual'è la giusta tariffa da chiedere ad una coppia..una wedding planner mette un prezzo al proprio servizio e cerca di essere il più onesta possibile e il più trasparente possibile..ma ..lo so..è difficile prezzare la parte di te e del tuo cuore che metti in un matrimonio. Forse trai tutte le percentuali o tra tutte le tariffe non esisterà mai una quota per valutare la gioia che la coppia da' a me. Chi lo sa? Forse dovrei essere io quella a pagare..

Happy New Year to everyone! After an hectic period of holidays and work (and an husband to cuddle ) during which I 've decided to stop blogging for a while, here I am :-D relaxed (not so much), happy (always) and positive for the new year (I have to)!
How are you? How did you spent your holidays? I hope everything was perfect for you all!
Before beginning again with our project of tips for a "budget wedding" and with other ideas and tips for all the soon to be bride and groom, let me spend few words on some questions that I receive every day from lots of persons who wish to become wedding planner. I always believed that it was my duty to answer to all these requests and to help as much as I can all of you ..of course I'm not a guru..of course I don't have the magic wand..of course I'm not Martha..and of course I don't have to power to make you realise in few lines of an email that this is exactly you life job..but..

1°I'm highly surprised when someone asks me "but do I really have to be present the day of the wedding?"..well if the couple doens't ask you directly to not be present that day..yes it's but of your job, you have to be there. I'm really surprised because for me that's the most precious moment for me, after so many months (even more than a year sometime) to be able to look at what I've created and look into their eyes and see that special light while at the end they wisper "thank you" in my direction. Why do I have to renounce to that special moment in my job..I live for that. I work for that. Why?

2° I'm highly disappointed when someone asks me "but do I really have to work during Sundays and Saturdays?" ..what?..have I understood well your question?..maybe someone is conviced that all the couples will decide to get married from Mon to Frid from 8-17...I tell you this..I pray all days to have all the Saturdays and all Sundays full of work this year, because that will mean that I'm doing a good job and expecially in the period in which we are all now it will be really stupid from me to renounce to a wedding because it will ruin a weskend. I'm so sorry to tell you this, but those persons that ask me this are not ready to begin this job.

3° I'm highly moved when someone ask me "how can you seem always so calm and happy?"..I think that the secret is doing something that you really feel is your "cup of tea", that really amazes you day after day. After years spent doing something that was completely wrong for me and my life, I finally do a job that fullfill my expectations, my dreams and my serenity. Waking up every day knowing that it's the biginning of a brand new day full of challenges and joy is the most precious thing for me. It's my joy. And believe me (I'm talking to all the future wp) if you adore your job all the couples will understand it even from your face and will trust you even more.

4° I'm highly amused when someone asks me which is the right price to ask to a couple. A wedding planner asks to a couple a price that she/he consider right and fair for her/his services being honest and clear explaining the price...but...I know..it's so difficult to get a value to that piece of you and of your heart that you dedicate to a wedding. Maybe among all the quotes and percentages there will never exist a price to the happiness that a couple brings to me. Who knows? Maybe I'm the one who has to pay...
